Zoe Rose de Paz

Violin

Zoe-Rose de Paz is a local violinist, composer, songwriter, bandleader, and educator. With almost 25 years of experience playing the fiddle, Zoe is an expert in violin and improvisational music.

A MA teacher certified through EEC since 2015, Zoe is CORI background certified and has over 500+ hours of teaching experience. Great with students young and old, she accepts both beginners and intermediate players who want to learn basic technique and classical repertoire, as well as those seeking to diversify/expand to new styles of playing. She particularly loves teaching incoming beginners and children. It is always so rewarding to introduce someone to the world of music!

For kids in school orchestras, younger visual (traditional) learners, and students learning classical music, Zoe teaches sheet music sight-reading and music notation. She will be able to help diversify your child's school orchestra curriculum and give them a deeper knowledge skill set. Additionally, students can learn how to solo freely over music, ear train, harmonize with other players, and arrange songs! Whether you are a kinesthetic or auditory learner, violin is the perfect instrument. Zoe's fun, ear-based approach to teaching music is beneficial for violinists who love Jazz, Gypsy Jazz, Folk, Irish & Celtic music, and Bluegrass.
